Publication 'Valuable Neighbourhoods'. In Valuable Neighbourhoods, pioneering collectives that have closed one or more raw material cycles in their neighbourhood or district take centre stage. What these initiatives have in common is that they were initiated by residents or residents' cooperatives and therefore not by the government or a private enterprise. With the entry into force of the new Environment Act, there are now frameworks within which residents and users of the neighbourhood have more freedom to enable initiatives. The aim of this publication is to share knowledge about jointly closing local raw material cycles in a practical handbook that offers a set of tools for bringing communities together and getting them started. Developing the neighbourhood as an ecosystem is central to this as a new way of urban planning.
