Guide to landscape art in the Netherlands

The guide describes the origins of land art in the 1960s in America, its introduction in the Netherlands and its development, along with its impact and significance in the Dutch landscape. In the works that are discussed, the interaction between the art and the landscape in which it stands is central. In this way, many current themes come to the fore, such as ecology, water storage and the search for identity. The position of land art in the Netherlands is compared to other countries and about 60 landscape artworks are discussed.
